What is Alternative Investment Fund ?
Alternative Investment Fund (AIF) means any fund established or incorporated in India which is a privately pooled investment vehicle which ,collects funds from investors, whether Indian or foreign, for whether Indian or foreign, for investing it in accordance with a defined investment policy.
Who are the Eligible Investors ?
In an AIF (Alternative Investment Fund), investment is open to all.
What is the Lock In Period ?
Since Category III scheme is open-ended, there is no lock-in period. However, investors might incur an Exit Load if they redeem their investments within a specified timeframe as outlined in the agreement
How taxation for AIF works ?
For Category I and II AIFs, taxation is applied at the investor level, whereas for Category III AIFs, taxation is applied at the fund level.
How can an investor view the transactions and NAV in their account ?
The Fund’s asset allocation, return attribution, top holdings, and liquidity information will be provided on a monthly basis, along with a detailed report at the end of each quarter. Additionally, the NAV for unitholders will be calculated at the end of every month.
